Averiq Works Marketing OS — Instagram Integration

An owner-operated, internal marketing integration for the operator's own Instagram professional account. This page explains its purpose, its current status, the permissions it requests, and how access and data are controlled.

Current status

The Instagram connection has been designed and prepared inside Averiq Works Marketing OS, but it is not used to post publicly today.

Permissions

The integration requests only these two Instagram permissions, and uses only the permissions the account owner grants.

  • instagram_business_basicConfirm which Instagram professional account is connected — its account ID, username and account type — so the Owner can check that the right account is linked.
  • instagram_business_content_publishPublish a post to the Owner's own account, only after the Owner has approved the content and explicitly started publishing. This is not currently enabled.

Owner control

AI may help prepare marketing material, but the integration never acts on Instagram without a deliberate action by the account owner.

    Connecting the Instagram account requires the Owner to start it and authorise it on Instagram.

    Every piece of content must be reviewed and explicitly approved by the Owner.

    If publishing is enabled in the future, each post will require an explicit action by the Owner.

  4. Disconnect

    The Owner can disconnect Instagram at any time, which removes the stored connection credential.

Commitments

The integration does

  • Authenticate through the official Instagram Login authorization flow
  • Request only instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_content_publish
  • Connect only the Owner's own Instagram professional account
  • Store the access token in encrypted form and keep it out of public view
  • Require Owner approval for content, and an Owner action for any future publishing

The integration does not request

  • Messaging (private messages)
  • Comment management
  • Advertising
  • Facebook Page access

And it does not

  • Request or store Instagram passwords
  • Publish autonomously or without Owner authorization
  • Perform paid advertising automatically
  • Sell Instagram data or use it to train AI models

Data and deletion

When the Owner connects Instagram, Averiq Works Marketing OS stores only the minimum needed to operate the connection: account ID, username, account type, the encrypted access token, connection status and, when applicable, technical identifiers for content created through the integration.

Disconnecting Instagram from Company OS removes the locally stored encrypted credential. To request deletion of Instagram integration data, follow the Instagram data deletion instructions. Access can also be removed from Instagram's or Meta's own connected-app settings.
